| Artistic Director, Tango Show Dancer & Teacher |  | Diego Echenique, founding member of pasionportango, taught a wide variety of tango styles - Tango Salon, Tango Milonguero, Tango Nuevo, and as well offered workshops in Technique, tuition for small groups and private lessons. Diego has been dancing, performing and teaching tango in his hometown of Cordoba, and also in Buenos Aires, for more than 10 years. His teachers include Carlos Gavito, Adrian Aragon y Erica Boaglio, Jorge Firpo, Osvaldo Zotto, Mora Godoy, Pablo Villarraza y Dana Frigoli, Julio Balmaceda y Corina de la Rosa, Milena Plebs and Alejandro Barrientos y Rosalia. He has danced in the Sangre Latina dance company and performed in numerous theatre productions. Diego is now living in Avignon, France with his dancing partner Liza. He brought a wealth of experience, vitality and energy to tango in Auckland. |
Marion is a passionate tango dancer. She is dedicated to the idea of growing tango in New Zealand. Her energy and enthusiasm are contagious and she has many innovative ideas for developing tango.
Bev is a multi media artist and graphic designer with many years experience in the arts' world. She too is passionate about tango and has a similiar vision to Marion. She loves the idea of the studio being a centre for tango, the arts, music and performance.
